Defending Australian Open champions Caroline Wozniacki and Roger Federer are the headline acts on Day 1 at Melbourne Park.

The 2018 winners are in action in Monday’s night session on Rod Laver Arena, with Federer resuming his usual position under lights on centre court.

But it’ll be a packed, partisan crowd at the same time over on Margaret Court Arena as top Aussie hope and No.15 seed Ash Barty kicks off her campaign against Thailand’s Luksika Kumkhum, followed by Bernard Tomic’s tough encounter with 2018 finalist and No.6 seed Marin Cilic.

Top Aussie man Alex de Minaur will have a short turnaround from his two Sydney International matches played on Saturday, as the No.27 seed features in the afternoon on Show Court 1 against Portugal’s Pedro Sousa.
