The returns of Serena Williams and Andy Murray have been confirmed after the entry lists for the Men’s and Women’s Singles at the 2019 Australian Open were announced.

Seven-time champion Williams and five-time finalist Murray were both absent at the 2018 tournament, with Williams still recovering from her pregnancy and Murray battling injuries for much of the season.

But both will return in 2019, with Williams currently ranked 16th in the world and Murray using a protected ranking to return as a top three seed.
